Driving Lessons for Teens
If you’re under 18, our lessons will help you develop lifelong safe driving skills and meet Washington State’s behind-the-wheel training requirements.
From basic car control to navigating complex traffic situations, we cover everything necessary for your DOL Skills test and beyond.
Teaching Methodology
Our instructors focus on building a strong foundation first and then increasing the complexity of driving situations gradually.
We start with foundational skills like car control, basic maneuvers, traffic laws, right-of-way, and road rules. Students practice in low-stakes environments such as parking lots, residential streets, and low-traffic roads to boost comfort and confidence.
As lessons progress, teens move on to more complex driving situations, including heavier traffic, merging, lane changes, diverse road layouts, and pedestrian awareness. These lessons take place on medium-to-high traffic roads with varying speeds.
By the time students are ready for freeway driving, we’ve helped them develop the necessary skills to navigate high-traffic areas and urban settings, allowing them to process more stimuli and make decisions promptly and proactively.
