Safety First Driving School is a DOL approved testing site and conducts the Department of Licensing approved Knowledge Exam to get your permit and the Department of Licensing approved Skills Exam to get your license.

The Department of Licensing approved Knowledge Exam is $35. If you need to take it a second time, it only costs $18.00. We offer the test in Spanish, English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Vietnamese, Japanese, and now in Ahmaric with a translator. Once you pass the Knowledge test, you get your permit.

The Department of Licensing approved Skills Exam is $85 and is conducted in our safety-enhanced vehicles*. You must have either a valid Washington State Learner’s Permit, a valid foreign driver’s license, or an official Temporary Authorization form; to take the Department of Licensing Skills Exam.
